Innovaeduca

Hi everyone!

To begin with, I want to tell you that, as you know, I'm from Spain, and now we're living a quarantine due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) but I'll continue with this blog, trying to share with you some ideas to work with students when this problem ends or even for giving them some links with which they could practice some contents related to measurement at home. I hope it'll be useful for you and you'll enjoy with it and get a bit entertained. Together, this situation will end soon! We can!

Today, I want to talk to you about Innovaeduca, a webpage in which thanks to a character called Metrín, Primary students can review how can they measure the units of length, weight and capacity. On top of that, they'll know the instruments they can use at home to measure these dimensions. They'll learn everything using interactive games and daily objects that, probably, they already know.

There's something else to think about and it's that in this webpage, we also have some activities to do estimations. Sometimes, we don't work this type of measurement, and I'm convinced that it is also essential to develop children reasoning and to ensure that they'll be able to estimate some measurement in their daily life if they don't have the instruments to do it precisely.

As I've already said, I hope you'll find this resource useful and interesting. These days, I'll be searching for new ideas to share with you. Let me some comments if you want to know about something, I'll be glad to read some recommendations.

Take care of you and stay home! See you soon!
